“Random Thoughts” Wave Abstract

I created an abstract ocean wave recently and close up, it is very abstract. Up close it’s a collection of geometric shapes encompassing rhythm and movement as the blues blend into greens. From a distance, it resembles a glacial-laced ocean wave crashing on the shore. I love the beauty of abstraction — but I love order too. This piece is both of those things.

“Random Thoughts” - this piece is being donated to a fundraising event for “Fairy Tail Endings, Inc” in January 2019 at the Southbay Yacht Club in Sarasota, FL. This was a second pass at this piece to soften some of the darker artifacts. The one donated is a 40” x 27” on metal.

Lots of geometric shapes - this was a first version with the larger red dot signature. I removed the red background so as not to detract too much.

You can envision the ocean at a distance with this piece.

I can imagine this piece on a metal sheet medium or canvas - or maybe even an acrylic sheet. It’s one of newest pieces sporting my new signature “penny”.

Here’s one option on metal at Society 6. https://society6.com/product/random-thoughts-ocean-wave-abstract_metal-print?curator=dianadeavila - if you imagine a bigger print or different medium, feel free to reach out to me. TheRedDotArtist@gmail.com
