Artist Statement:

My formative years, spent in the embrace of Lake George and the Adirondacks, profoundly influenced my artistic vision. The majesty of these landscapes—endless mountain ranges, serene waters, and vibrant sunsets—became a foundation for my creative process. While I now reside in Sarasota, FL, the beauty of upstate New York remains at the core of some of my recent work, driving my exploration of nature’s grandeur through digital abstraction.

My artistic journey began with fractal art, where I deeply connected to the complex mathematical patterns around us. Over time, my work evolved to incorporate landscapes that reflect my past and my fascination with nature’s inherent order. As a female savant artist, this shift came after a traumatic brain injury and the progression of multiple sclerosis, which unlocked my ability to see the world in fractal patterns and quantum geometries. These newfound abilities continue to fuel my exploration of contemporary digital landscape art.

In my work, I draw on several artistic movements. The solid and simplified forms and bold colors in pieces like “Birdseye Mountain Majesty” and “Adirondack Adagio” reflect the principles of neo-impressionism, emphasizing the emotional power of color and light. At the same time, the clean lines and focus on essential elements within each composition align with minimalism, creating a harmonious balance between detail and simplicity.

Although fractal geometry remains a crucial influence, my landscapes now merge the precision of geometric abstraction with the organic beauty of nature. Works like “Evergreen Twist” combine these influences, where fractal-inspired forms meet my past's serene and vibrant landscapes.

My work now balances my beginnings in fractal art and my current focus on landscapes. Through the lens of contemporary digital art, I translate the splendor of the Adirondacks into pieces that evoke a sense of serenity, mystery, and connection. My hope is to inspire viewers to see the world through new eyes, where fractal complexity, minimalism, and the emotional resonance of color converge in a reimagined landscape.
