This piece was born out of my fight with insomnia. I have Multiple Sclerosis (MS) and this condition creates a lot of weird stuff in my brain - including pain and an inability to sleep. I needed a way to quiet my mind and promote sleep. I wanted something I could use on my TV, my phone, my tablet. Something accessible and simple. I found that in my fractal art. "Living Tree" is simple, relaxing and hypnotic. It can be used with/without sound. For an insomniac like me, I found that the simplicity really worked. I thought others could benefit from it too. I am a Disabled Army Veteran with MS and Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI), I am also a sudden acquired savant who developed art abilities after a relapse from MS in 2017. The artwork in this piece is a fractal that I created to look like the crosscut of a tree.
