Art That Breathes

Motion art for oncology and healthcare environments

In spaces where patients may spend hours waiting, receiving treatment or facing uncertainty, art does not have to remain still. It can move gently, unfold slowly and give the eye somewhere peaceful to rest.

THE ART THAT BREATHES COLLECTION

Art That Breathes is a curated collection of slowly evolving digital artwork created for oncology, infusion and other restorative healthcare spaces.

The work brings color, gentle movement and moments of visual respite into environments shared by patients, families and healthcare professionals. Each piece is selected for the way it moves, the atmosphere it creates and its relationship to the space around it.

IMAGINE ART IN MOTION

Art That Breathes can be experienced in infusion suites, waiting areas, patient rooms, family lounges and staff respite spaces. These conceptual healthcare visualizations show how motion art can become part of the healthcare environment.

CREATED FROM LIVED EXPERIENCE

Diana de Avila is an award-winning digital artist, disabled veteran, acquired savant and synesthete whose practice emerged following a multiple sclerosis relapse and worsening traumatic brain injury.

Her experience as both an artist and patient shapes her interest in the emotional life of healthcare spaces. Through color, movement and slowly unfolding imagery, she creates art that offers the eye—and the person behind it—a moment to breathe.

LET’S START A CONVERSATION

Every healthcare environment is different. Art That Breathes can be thoughtfully curated around the needs, architecture and atmosphere of a particular space.

If you are exploring motion art for an oncology or healthcare environment, I would be glad to begin a conversation.
